APPLE 5 MILE RUN FACT SHEET
WHAT: Since York County Runners lost the Bon-Ton 5 Miler in 2008, we have been eagerly searching for a sponsor to promote such an event. Apple Automotive will be hosting a "New and Improved" 5 miler on Saturday, October 2, 2010, @ 7:30AM.
WHERE: The Apple 5 Mile Run celebrates its inaugural running in 2010. This single-loop course takes runners through the business and residential districts of the City of York, Pa. The course is flat and fast with 2 minor hills. The course starts at Apple Auto Park, loops around Kiwanis Lake, through the Avenues, and finishes back at Apple Auto Park, (along Route #30 at Roosevelt Avenue in York). The course promises to be FAST, with only two minor hills. The course is also USATF/RRTC certified (http://www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=378055). Great trophies will be given for 1-3 in each age group, and everyone pre-registered will receive a Tech-Shirt. Not to mention, the first one finished WILL SET the new Course RECORD!!!!!
WHEN: The race takes place Saturday, October 2, 2010 with a start time of 7:30 a.m. at Apple Chevrolet-Cadillac on Loucks Rd along Route 30 in York, PA.
HOW: Early registrations have closed. Please register the day of the race!!!
ONLINE: Early Bird Until September 28, 2010; Late Registration Fee- $25
